Everybody is familiar with .com domains, but there are fewer and fewer available. If you would like to have an easy to type domain, try a .tk domain. They're easy to set up and can be free.

Steps

1. Go to http://www.tearca.tk/
2. Come up with a domain name.
3. Search to see if it is available.
4. Decide if you want a free or paid domain, then select the appropriate option.
5. Type in your existing website URL (i.e. www.whatever.com/net/whatever).
6. Type your email address.
7. Type the security code to prove you're not a bot.
8. Create your password.
9. Click login.

Tips

• Make an easy-to-remember domain so that your visitors will return to your site.

Warnings

• You must have at least 35 visitors to your site each month, or .tk will delete your domain.
